Abstract

Collaborative Systems as a major topic of this paper is mostly concerning the ability to work as a team in collaborative environment that is facilitated by Information Systems. The description provided by Carolina Lo ́pez-Nicola ́s in research titled “Analyzing collaborative technologies’ effect on performance through intranet use orientations” mostly describes groupware as a work among individuals with the same aim using technologies (2007). The pros of e-collaboration that are described in the same paper cannot be overestimated as it is regarded as cost saving, effective, fast, and productive in terms of making group decisions. This area of Information Systemscan be used in any kind of business enterprise, increasing the competitive advantage of the company and we would like to research the collaborative software systems role in hospitality business by examiningone of the leading representatives of this field, Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
