Abstract

Empirical studies on the occupational stress impact of respiratory diseases outbreak have been done on medical professionals, including that of the 2003 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) epidemic, the 2015 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), and the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). To give life the statistical information, this qualitative study investigated the occupational stress narratives of migrant healthcare workers in the United Arab Emirates during the COVID-19 global pandemic. This work presented the accounts of frontline workers with their struggles on mental health, employer, patient, and family interaction, and the pandemic's economic impacts in the grassroots levels.
